Why We Exist

Who We Are

Puddles B Gone has deep roots in the heart of Indiana, where it was developed and supported by two passionate individuals, Diana and Tim Miller. Diana, known as the Splash-Free Sovereign, lives in Tipton, Indiana, and originally hails from Indianapolis. Her journey from the bustling streets of the state’s capital to the close-knit community of Tipton has been marked by her unwavering commitment to improving the lives of pet owners everywhere.

Tim Miller, the brilliant engineer and product designer behind Puddles B Gone, is also from Tipton, Indiana. Growing up in this small town, Tim developed a strong work ethic and a knack for innovation. His close connection to the community and shared values with Diana have driven the creation of a product that’s both practical and reliable.

Together, their Indiana roots have influenced the development of Puddles B Gone, a product designed to keep homes dry and pets happy. Whether in the quiet neighborhoods of Tipton or the vibrant cityscape of Indianapolis, Puddles B Gone reflects the dedication and care that Tim and Diana bring to everything they do.

Happy Homes

We are Tim, Diane, and Kaylyn Miller, residents of Central Indiana. Our family dynamic has been enriched by the adoption of our granddaughter, Kaylyn, who has been an integral part of our household since the age of 16 months. I am a disabled veteran with an extensive 28-year tenure at Chrysler Corp., while my wife Diane contributes her expertise part-time in the insurance claims sector from our home. Our household is also shared with a venerable group of pets: a 10-year-old female Doberman, a 7-year-old male Golden Retriever mix, an 8-year-old female Golden Retriever, a 5-year-old male Golden Retriever, and two esteemed cats, aged 18 and 20 respectively.

The inception of the Puddles B Gone idea arose during a period when our home was populated by four sizable dogs and two cats. Our daily life was perpetually challenged by the incessant battle against water spillage—an omnipresent issue that rendered maintaining dry floors a formidable task. Despite extensive experimentation with trays, mats, bath towels, various waterer designs, and multiple attempts to elevate or lower the water dispensers, we were confronted with consistent failure. The myriad of waterers tested—totaling between 10 and 15—did not satisfactorily resolve the issue, and the most effective solutions lacked sufficient capacity to endure throughout the day.

An ironic turn of events occurred when I sustained a shoulder injury from a roofing accident, necessitating surgery and a six-month recovery period. During this time, I was confined to a recliner in the living room adjacent to the water dispenser, which became a daily reminder of the persistent water spillage problem. This experience provided me with the insight that the excessive water intake by our dogs was leading to spillovers. Motivated by this realization, I embarked on developing an innovative solution to address the fundamental issues associated with water spillage, including the incorporation of a handle for ease of handling.

The culmination of this effort was the creation of Puddles B Gone, a product that, upon its first successful trial, prompted the realization of its novel utility. My wife, Diane, demonstrated unwavering belief in the concept by securing a provisional patent without my prior knowledge. We then refined the design through feedback from family and friends, who, after testing, enthusiastically refused to return their samples, affirming the product’s efficacy.

Having recognized the universal challenge faced by pet owners, we are excited to introduce Puddles B Gone to a broader audience, with the aim of providing a practical solution that enhances household cleanliness. We look forward to a future where this innovation contributes to a drier, more comfortable living environment for all.

Tim Miller

The Miller family, comprising Tim, Diane, and their granddaughter Kaylyn, resides in Central Indiana. After adopting Kaylyn at the tender age of 16 months, they integrated her into their dynamic and vibrant household. Tim, a distinguished veteran with an impressive 28-year tenure at Chrysler Corp., encountered a persistent challenge in maintaining a dry and clean living environment due to the presence of four large dogs, two cats, and their propensity to transform the home into a veritable aquatic playground.

Visualize the scenario: Water seemed to cascade throughout the home as though their cherished pets were orchestrating a synchronized swimming performance in the very heart of their living space. Despite extensive efforts to mitigate the aqueous turmoil—ranging from the deployment of trays, mats, and relentless mopping to experimenting with various water dispenser designs—the Millers struggled to maintain dry floors. This ongoing struggle not only tested their patience but also posed a significant risk of slips and falls.

In an ironic twist of fate, a mishap involving roof maintenance, inadvertent contamination from chicken droppings, and a poorly judged decision to clean the gutters resulted in a shoulder injury for Tim. During his recovery period, while residing in the living room adjacent to the problematic water dispenser, Tim discerned that the excessive water intake by the dogs was causing the spillover issue. This revelation catalyzed a series of innovative solutions, including the conceptualization of a handle to ease the transportation of the water dispenser and the development of an improved waterer—culminating in the creation of Puddles B Gone.

Supported by Diane, who recognized the potential in Tim’s innovation and discreetly initiated the process of securing a provisional patent, Tim meticulously developed prototypes and sought feedback from their close associates. The resounding approval and reluctance of those who tested Puddles B Gone to return it underscored the efficacy of the solution, addressing a prevalent issue among pet owners.

Buoyed by this validation and the endorsement of their immediate circle, the Millers are now committed to disseminating Puddles B Gone to pet owners everywhere, with the mission of enhancing household cleanliness and bringing a sense of joy and order to homes far and wide.
